Weekend Fun

Life has been different lately. Into week 4 of my externship. I suppose you could say I am getting more comfortable where I am at. It helps to have a set schedule of my own things to do, but I am at three schools and I only have a set schedule at one. That means at the other two, I don't really have my own "place". I had a few bad days last week, which have made me a bit hesitant to go back. I just am going to keep pushing through it and it will be fine, right?

Weather lately has been....on and off. Snowy and rainy, then sunny and beautiful. I am so ready for spring!!! This weekend C and I went shopping. I got a killer deal on movies. 4 movies for 8 bucks! Woohoo!!! I also have been in the market for a new skirt or dress for graduation. I found this one at a local store, and couldn't decide whether or not I like it. Its definitely different than my normal style, that's for sure. The more I look at this picture though, the more I am beginning to like it. Still can't decide if I should get it, or just wait and hold out for something else. What do you think??

We went to the basketball game last night. It was definitely an exciting game!! Some people thought I would be torn over who to cheer for, the cougs or the utes. But really, there wasn't any question in my mind!! I may be a ute now, but will always be a true blue coug!!! It was fun to enter the packed basketball stadium and cheer on the cougs to an exciting exciting victory!!! I have decided that I really miss going to games like I did when I was a student. They were pretty darn fun. Oh the good old days.... :)

Back in the swing of things

Realizing I have not really posted anything since before Thanksgiving...I decided it was time!! Thanksgiving was great, everyone came up and we had lots of good food and good times. Here I am, with my pies. They were yummy!

While everyone was here, J was blessed. It was really a special time for us all.

After Thanksgiving, school finished up with finals and projects and papers and whatnot. It was kind of crazy, but somehow I was able to get through everything! Can't believe I finished up my 2nd to last semester of school. Crazy! I got to go home for three weeks, which was fantastic! A very much needed break!!! Much of my time spent at home looked like this:

Foggy! Can you believe it? Crazy! Not only that, but the week before I got there, they got about 6 inches of snow. Again, crazy!! They had more there than up here which is SO not normal, but fun at the same time. I spent lots of time helping m and d, relaxing, visiting old friends, and just being. It was great. C, P, K, C, and J all came down for a week and a half and for Christmas. So fun when we are all able to get together.

notice her pile? notice mine? yeah...
*the above picture is just for fun, not meant to be taken seriously*

Christmas was great. I got a stinking cute red coat which I love, and among other things, my blog made into a book. How cool is that?!

The beautiful Christmas tree. I love this tree so much!! It is perfect.

M got us these slipper sock things for Christmas. They are really fun to wear, even though they all say mine make me look like I have big bird feet based on their color....

Auntie E and J. We have fun together hanging out. Its crazy that he is getting bigger every time I see him. Stinkin cutie!!!

New Years was fun. We had tons of great food, stayed up and played games and watched movies, watched the local fireworks (gotta love fireworks!!) and stayed up to ring in the new year. It was pretty fun.

My three week break was cut somewhat short due to studying for my big comprehensive test I had to take the day after I got back (this test is required to graduate as well as to become nationally certified for my profession...no pressure right??). I studied like crazy at home, and never really felt prepared for it. The test was on saturday and needless to say I was pretty darn nervous. I really don't know how I did. It was all multiple choice, thank goodness. Still, it takes 4 weeks to get the results. Really? really? Oh well I suppose. We shall see what happens in a months time. As for now, I am just super glad its over with!!!

Good job flowers

The new semester started yesterday. This semester is spent not at the clinic, but at externships. Very exciting and somewhat nervous as well. I am so far enjoying my first placement, its gone well and the people I work with are really nice and supportive. Cross your fingers it continues to go well! I do have one class this semester, which is a night class. That stinks but is what I have to do so here we go! As for right now, I am feeling as if I have a little more time on my hands instead of being constantly doing school stuff. We will see how long that lasts....right now I am enjoying it and enjoying being at a location other than the school clinic!!
